Jay Woodcroft's father was also an accomplished junior goalie. In addition, the former has four hockey-playing uncles, Paul Woodcroft, Bud Woodcroft, Gerry Woodcroft, and Gord Woodcroft. Paul and Bud were Catholic priests and played with the well-known Flying Fathers.
