Ali Carter's ex-girlfriend Sarah gave birth to their child in 2009. Both of Carter's children are growing up away from the spotlight.

Health Complications

On 1 July 2013, the snooker player announced that he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer and that he needed to undergo surgery a day later. However, only after 18 days, Ali revealed that he had recovered and was all set to participate in Shanghai Masters in September.

Later in May 2014, Carter was diagnosed with lung cancer and was compelled to take an intensive chemotherapy break. In October of the same year, he returned to the World Snooker Tour, after successfully completing the treatment and ended up winning the General Cup.

Ali Carter has a long history of health issues. From 2003 onwards he has been struggling with Crohn's disease. Nevertheless, he is still having control over it by including gluten in his diet.
