The actress grew up alongside her very talented dancer sister, Alexis Mason. Alexis auditioned in the eighth season of the reality show, So You Think You Can Dance, and reached the final solo performances before the top twenty.

Similarly, Mason began dancing at the age of three in ballet and flamenco, and she later studied acrobatics, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and contemporary dance. She began her theater studies at 11 with the community and middle school shows.
