Nick Brett Comes From A Family Of Bowlers

Nick Brett was born in Peterborough, England, on May 14, 1974. Unfortunately, the sportsman appears to be a quiet individual who has not divulged much about his background; as a result, hardly anything about Brett's upbringing is known. Similarly, despite having such a talented and well-known son, his parents have opted to stay anonymous in the media.

Nick did, however, grow up seeing his father and grandfather bowl, and he would often watch his father's bowling matches on television. Having watched inside bowling for most of his childhood, the athlete soon picked up the basics of the sport. And one day when his father was in the league and his team was short on players, Brett was invited to play for them. 

Nick has quickly progressed since he first began bowling and is now widely recognized as the best inside bowler in the world. Brett's parents must be pretty pleased with their son's accomplishments.

Having begun his career from a young age, the bowls player established himself as one of the dominating players in the sport. So naturally, it comes as no surprise that bowling is one of the primary sources of Nick Brett's net worth. 

And while information regarding the early years of Brett's career has yet to be revealed, he did bag first position in the British Isles Championship in 2000, playing for the White Hart BC. Additionally, Bret also won the outdoors National Title in 1999. 

There is no doubt that Nick's career is filled with successes, but his most notable triumph came in the 2014 World Indoor Bowls Championship, where he was paired with Greg Harlow.

The English player followed his 2014 victory and was named the World Singles Champion in 2016 when he beat Robert Paxton. However, Brett's career only skyrocketed from thereon, and the athlete next won the World Indoor Bowls Championship with Claire Johnston in 2017.

Following his 2017 victory, Brett joined an exclusive group of players at the 2020 World Indoor Bowls Championship. Unfortunately, he was not victorious and ended up losing to Paxton in the open singles final. Still, he did win in the World Outdoor Bowls Championship in 2020.

The World Indoor open singles champion winner pockets around $74,195 (£55,000), with the total prize being approximately $195,607 (£145,000). Since he has won five championships to date, Nick Brett's net worth must have improved significantly with the prize money alone.

Unfortunately, the bowler could not participate in the 2021 World Indoor Bowls Championship after suffering from an injury while playing golf. Nonetheless, there is no doubt that Brett will make a rapid recovery and continue to excel at what he does best.

Additionally, Brett also works as a trade supervisor. The average salary of a trade supervisor is around $70,167. So, the athlete must be living a comfortable life with his earnings.

Brett shares a beautiful bond with his daughters. Nick Brett's elder daughter, Chloe, is also a professional bowls player and a successful one at that. The father-and-daughter duo shares a total of nine county titles between them.

Both of Nick Brett's children are grown up now and have their own careers. As such, the Brett family rarely gets together, but they make sure to have a lot of fun when they do.
